People are obsessed with Top 10 lists. It’s a great way to capture what the best of any one thing is. Look up the thing’s top 10 list and you will get a sense of what the best of a category is.

But is there a Top 10 List of Top 10 Lists? Well, there is now.

Here is a list of Top 10 lists as ranked by, a web research tool that helps marketers understand what people are searching for on various platforms. We used their Google rankings for this post searching for “Top 10” on the tool.

The criteria for the list selection is the most people searching for the list and the fact that the list is actually a Top 10 list and, not Top 5 or Top 9 or Top 30. It’s gotta be an actual Top 10 list or it is disqualified from our list.

It also needs to show up on the U.S. Google results when searching for “Top 10 [thing]”.

Trends change as new things come available so this list was generated on October 30, 2021.

People are obsessed with Netflix, especially given the 2020/2021 COVID-19 pandemic. Herewith are the Top 10 Netflix shows from Rotten Tomatoes.

5. Top 10 Anime

A top 1o list of lists would not be complete without inclusion of at least one Japanese cultural trend that has been unleashed on the world. And so, included our Top 10 Top 10 list at #5 is Top 10 Anime. Anime is hand-drawn and computer animation from Japan. Adding to the weirdness is that the Top 10 best anime series of all time is from the South African website Fortress of Solitude.

This list comes from a website that is a partnership between CNN International and TV18, a leading Indian news channel. This ranks the top 10 cryptocurrencies by value as of Oct 27, 2021. 7. Top 10 Horror Movies of All Time

This Top 10 list comes from RollingStone magazine which headlines the post: Readers Poll: The 10 Bets Horror Movies of All Time and features some guaranteed terrifying pleasers. And yes Poltergiest is on the list at #10. It may be 1980s cheese, but for those of us who rented it on VHS as teenagers, it was terrifying at the time.

8. Top 10 Movies of All Time

No Top 10 Top 10 list would be complete without a Top 10 Movies list. This one comes from the late and great Chicago Sun-Times columnist Roger Ebert, who died in 2013 (at age 70). So it is not going to contain movies made after his death, because it could only include movies that he saw during his lifetime. Is it the ultimate Top 10 movies list? No. It’s one man’s curated list, and Ebert says as much in the write-up. And he doesn’t even rank them. He lists them by alphabetization and said he ranked them by their ability to move him emotionally. Still, he was great, so by proxy, the movies do merit Top 10 greatest movies status, even if you liked Frozen 2 better.

9. Top 10 NBA Players of All Time

This list is the only sports theme list on our Top10 Top. is from the Bleacher Report and is called the 10 Greatest NBA Players of all Time. Find it here. I bet even before clicking you can guess who is on it if you are a basketball fan.

10. Top 10 Christmas Movies

This one is not surprising given for of the 10 Top 10 lists are about watchable entertainment. This list comes from, the website for the U.S.A’s largest fully independent student newspaper located in Madison, Wisconsin. That it would be the arbiter of top 10 Christmas Movies is weird unto itself. Still, the data is there. Google ranks it well, so there you go. Here is their Top 1o Christmas Movies of All Time list.
